Encouraging Families to learn together!
I am always delighted to be asked by family groups to teach them together. It is actually a great family bonding exercise and something special happens when you can share a common interest.
‘Chinese for Children’ is an introductory course I have designed specifically for youngsters with no background in Chinese. It uses interesting cartoons, rhymes, and stories to teach basic Chinese pronunciation (Pinyin), characters and common dialogues. It emphasises the teaching and practices of Chinese pronunciation, cultivating their interest in learning Chinese. This course will lay a good foundation for their future Chinese study.
Also, I have designed a course specifically designed for teenagers with emphasis on the application of the language in daily use as close as possible to the lives of teens. This course steps up in specific levels and teaches Chinese phonetics (Pinyin), characters, words and grammar. I also like to introduce Chinese culture when the time is right to stimulate continued family interest in learning the language well.
